FAQ
The device does not appear in the Bluetooth list
Check that Bluetooth is turned on on the source device. Remove all entries from the devices it may have been paired with and pair it again from scratch. If this doesn't work, press and hold the “Mode” button for a few seconds and try connecting to your source device again from scratch.
This speaker can only be paired with one source device. If it is paired with another device (computer, phone, tablet, etc.), new devices will not detect it.
The device won't turn on:
You won't be able to turn on the device to use it if the battery is flat. Charge it for at least 30 minutes before unplugging it from the mains and trying to turn it on again.
Press and hold the “Power” button for a few seconds until the button LEDs light up and you hear “Bluetooth mode”.
USB stick not recognised
The storage capacity of the USB stick must not exceed 32 GB. The USB stick must be formatted to FAT32 on a computer.
Songs must be saved in “.mp3” format, and titles should not be very long or contain symbols.
Changing the volume of the speaker's voice prompts
The voice prompts are set to a default volume and cannot be changed or removed.
“PRT” button function
Set one or more songs to loop or play in sequence. Only works when playing media from a USB stick or MicroSD card.
Changing folders on USB
Press the “I◄◄” or “►►I” button for two seconds and an “F” with the number of the selected folder will appear on the front display.
Connecting two speakers
Pairing is only possible with the same model, VM-HW300BK. Turn on both speakers and press the TWS button once on just one of them.
The word “SLAV” will appear on the display and it will pair with the other speaker. Turn on Bluetooth on the source device, find the corresponding entry and pair.
The volume is low
If you have an Android device, remember that you must raise or lower the volume while playing a media file (song, video, etc.). Then adjust it using the buttons on the speaker and the source device (mobile phone, tablet, computer, etc.).
The speaker's battery runs out quickly
Battery life will depend on usage time, ambient conditions, lighting and the volume it is used at. The full battery life figure is based on 50% volume without the lights on.
If the “Power” button is lit red, the unit is in standby mode and is still using battery. The correct way to switch it off is to turn the speaker on again and then press and hold the “Power” button for a few seconds until all the LEDs go out.
To extend the battery's lifespan, fully charge it at least once every 3 months.
